:. WHO IS “CRASHER”?
Laid-off due to the state budget crisis, Shirley is now looking for work, hoping to land a full-time job. In the meantime, her home-grown freelance business is paying some of the bills. In addition, Shirley is enrolled at the Academy of Art University in the Computer Animation and Visual Effects MFA program. Her major influences include mentors Stuart Neiman and Richard Rhea; and artists such as Will Eisner, Frank Frazetta, Richard Scarry, Ed Emberley, H.R. Giger, and Dave McKean. She considers herself an all-around multimedia artist not only in the digital sense, but also in the fine art medium--painting, sculpture, drawing, photography. She loves exploring mixed-media and textures and how those may enhance the message and vision she wishes to convey. In her spare time, Shirley enjoys working out with her Bosu, TRX, slideboard, Ropes Gone Wild, and Russian Kettlebells. She is loves extreme sports and is training for martial arts. Shirley is working towards a skillset to achieve TRX and Art of Strength Kettlebell certifications. After graduating from AAU, Shirley hopes to become an art director working on major motion pictures and also promoting fitness as a lifestyle change. She hopes to combine her two main passions: art and fitness. |
